Same experience here. After my Dad passed away, I waited and waited for his veteran's plaque to be installed by the Veteran's Administration. Mr. O'Brien assured me it had been ordered. After the first six months, I called Mr. O'Brien and was told they had a backlog of these due to the winter and would get to it. Never happened. I waited over a year. He never returned phone calls, answering service would take messages, he never called back. I finally contacted the VA myself and they had NEVER been contacted by Mr. O'Brien, and it was HIS duty to do so. I did the application myself both over the phone and on-line, providing them all of the paperwork Mr. O'Brien was PAID to submit, and within six weeks, the marker was installed by the cemetery staff. What a liar this guy is. And taking advantage of the elderly and their families in this way is completely unacceptable and morally wrong. I would recommend anyone to avoid this guy and his business like the plague.

Unfortunately, My experience has been very negative. Michael O'Brien fouled up the social security # on the death certificate of a decedent (I am the personal representative,i.e.executor) Rather than rectifying this error immediately, he has been completely unresponsive. He has not returned repeated phone calls. His message service always assured me that they would get in touch with him right away. In desperation, I contacted another local funeral director who called the appropriate city clerks office and provided me with the information I needed to solve the problem O'Brien created. In my opinion, this is no way to conduct a business ,
